In 2004, Dave made the move from Austin, Tx to Chicago, IL to team up with his brother, underground hip-hop production wizard Mike Hero to form TrackForce Productions, L.L.C. Shortly after, the "Hero Brothers" (as they are affectionately referred to in the Chicago hip-hop community) began composing music for Harpo Sounds Music Library (The Oprah Winfery Show, Dr. Oz, The Nate Berkus Show), and they quickly enlisted 20 composers they've met though travels, from all over the world, who produce world class, highest quality music. Over the past ten years, TrackForce has amassed over 1000 compositions in the Harpo Sounds Music Library, and their conrtibutions helped garner a 2006 and 2009 Emmy Award to Parker Williams, Harpo's Music Director, for Outstanding Achievement in Daytime Music Direction and Composition. The Hero Brothers and their team are a go to source for Harpo's last minute 24 hour turnaround, high quality, custom cue requests.

Mike Hero's discogrpahy in the Chicago rap community screams street cred. Working with Chicago's notorious gangster rap groups Psychodrama, Qualo, Speedknot Mobstas, Ready and Profound for literally thousands of hours in smoke filled studios is how Mike sharpened his sword in music production. "It was his raw asthetic mixed with my blues and jazz background that was a perfect fit for Harpo", says his brother Dave. "Urban and contemporary, but sampling big box guitars, upright bass and B-3 organ made out sound less menacing and more digestable for the Harpo market". Mike is Co-CEO of TrackForce Productions, a professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago teaching classes in the history of hip-hop and digital sound production. He also teaches hip-hop songwriting and production in Chicago's inner city neighborhoods in conjunction with Foundations of Music. Mike recently gave a talk for TEDx Evanston in student directed learning.
